Join CBIL6 to learn about Deep Canvassing in IL06 to persuade voters and recruit support. This session is the first step to learn about the method and whether it's right for you. We'll be going out on weekends all spring and summer, but there's no minimum commitment. We'll be targeting voters who are uncomfortable with the direction Donald Trump is leading the country but who historically somewhat conservative. We'll also talk to voters who already agree with us on issues to motivate them to get more involved and volunteer.

Deep Canvassing involves building rapport with voters and breaking through opinions and talking points to discuss real lived experience in order to persuade voters. It takes more training and results in longer conversations at the door than conventional canvasses (about 10-20 minutes versus 2-3 minutes).
