SUPPORT LOCAL LEGISLATIVE ACTION ON CLIMATE CHANGE
York Township Residents: Please attend the York Township annual meeting on Tues., April 10, 7 p.m. at the Township Office, 1502 S. Meyers Rd., Lombard.

On the agenda are statements and voting on whether the following resolution will be included on the York Township Midterm Elections Ballot in November 2018: "Shall our Representatives and Senators in the U.S. Congress sponsor and/or support measures that will address the serious threat posed by climate change?"

It is important for legislators to know that citizens want them to work to limit climate change. Often, legislators hesitate to act on an issue because they are not sure of their constituents' support. Inclusion of this climate change question on the November ballot will elevate the importance of climate change in voter's minds, and a positive outcome will send a powerful message to lawmakers.

But the resolution won't even make it to the ballot unless 50 or more supporters attend the York Township Annual Meeting. Plan to attend, and bring other supporters with you. Arrive early so your name can be found on the voter rolls. If you have any questions, contact one of these York Township residents who support the ballot resolution: Heidi Hartmann at hmhartmann@att.net or Kyle Kalinich at kylekalinich@sbcglobal.net
