Protecting Public and Private Health in the time of Covid-19

Online event: https://p4chealth.eventbrite.com/

Please join us for a fast- moving what-you-need-to-know-right-now hour as two local physicians speak with us about two very different pressing health questions of our time—one public and political, the other personal.

First up, local pediatrician Dr. John Perryman presents a physician's perspective on Medicare for All in a time when COVID-19 is straining our healthcare system to the breaking point. As Co-President of Physicians for a National Health Program (PNHP) northern Illinois, Dr. Perryman has counseled, lobbied and occasionally clashed with most members of Congress and state elected officials in our area. Do you have questions about how a single-payer national health program would affect your medical, dental, prescription costs, or long-term care for seniors? Do you believe single-payer would aid in the fight against public health crises like COVID-19, or are you worried about how would we pay for it and what it would mean for private insurance options? This is your chance to find out more.

Our second and final speaker will be Dr. Ria Dianati. Dr. Dianati is an Internal Medicine and an Integrative Medicine physician with a Master's of Public Health in Community Health Sciences—as well as a certified yoga instructor currently teaching online Zoom classes two mornings a week.
